US rap superstar 50 Cent has delayed the release of his new studio album, yet again. The history of 'Before I Self Destruct' is riddled with changed or delayed release dates, originally due to be in stores in 2007. But the controversial rapper released 'Curtis' in 2007 instead. Several 2008 dates were announced, starting with February, which was moved to March, then "later" in the year and finally a December date was set. Now 2009 is said to be the year, although an exact date has not been announced. The album features Dr Dre and Eminem, and will be accompanied by a feature film starring 50 Cent (or Curis James Jackson III), who also wrote and directed the movie which is based around a promising sports star who turns to crime. |
