Accountant turned music manager Allen Klein has died at the age of 77. The former manager of The Beatles, who was blamed for their break up, died in New York of complications from Alzheimer's disease.

Klein was controversial and abbrasive, known as much for (and proud of) his lack of ethics as his negotiating powers. His brash and bold style appealed to big names like The Rolling Stones and The Beatles, but it was that style which eventually caused issues between the manager and the band members.
