Editors have stormed to the top of the album chart with the second full-length 'An End Has A Start.'

The Midlands lads beat former American Idol winner Kelly Clarkson with her effort 'My December' to claim the number one slot.

However, despite Editors success, it's the singles this week that is dominated by indie acts.

Kate Nash charted at two with 'Foundations', missing out to the unmovable 'Umbrella' by Rhianna and Jay-Z.

The Enemy stormed in at number four with 'Had Enough', while Jack Penate claimed seventh spot with 'Torn on the Platform.'

Calvin Harris 'The Girls' and Reverend and the Makers' 'Heavyweight Champion of the World' completed the top ten at nine and ten respectively.
