Climb Miley Cyrus Reviewed By : David Ellis

Miley Cyrus has a film out soon of her obscenely popular Disney alter ego Hannah Montana - 'Climb' is a teaser, taster or warning of this, depending on which way you choose to look at it. From this tidbit it can be assumed that the film will follow Hannah’s suitable for all ages (ie there will be no scenes in which she uses language any stronger than her slimline frame) attempt to win X-Factor.

It has a grand orchestral backing, lots of drawn out high notes and is sickeningly sentimental to the point of banality. The song probably acts as a spoiler for the film since, even for an X-Factor ballad, it is lacking a shallow emotive oomph and is likely to struggle to make the final three in the public phone vote. However, it does serve to make Bill Hicks seem that little bit more prophetic since if someone had commissioned his show ‘Let’s Hunt and Kill Billy Ray Cyrus’, we would never have had to endure this.
