Britpop legend and gifted lyricist Jarvis Cocker will kick off his five-gig UK tour on Tuesday (November 25) in Sheffield. The former Pulp frontman is expected to deliver a mixture of his "heavier" solo work, Pulp classics and most excitingly, some new material from an album that's in progress.
Punters can also expect a bonus lecture included in the evening's entertainment, with Cocker keen to introduce spoken word "learning" in between songs. He has already tried it out, giving lectures on the art of lyrics at Manchester and Brighton gigs earlier this year.
Talk of turning the gigs into a disco towards the end has been mentioned as well. Just how he's going to achieve that we're not sure but knowing Cocker, it'll definitely be worth heading along to find out.
Tickets are still available for all gigs except the London show and can be purchased through Seetickets and Ticketmaster among other outlets.
