Glasvegas are flying high on the back of their debut album's number two entry in the UK charts this week.
The success of their self-titled debut is bound to boost their live shows, including Portsmouth's Wedgewood Rooms this Saturday.
James and Rab Allan, Paul Donoghue and Caroline McKay are set to draw the crowd at the local live music venue into the Glasvegas frenzy that's sweeping the nation.
Since the release of their self-funded single 'Go Square Go!' in 2006, interest in the Glasgow four-piece has constantly built, resulting in a bidding war errupting from record labels wanting to sign the east Glaswegians.
There is no doubt they are the band of the moment but if singles like 'Daddy's Gone' and 'Geraldine' are anything to go by, it's likely they'll be around for longer than a moment.
Most current UK tour dates have sold out and even their New York gig at the Mercury Lounge in October is a sell-out.
They will complete a six-date tour of the states before returning home to their beloved Scotland and further UK dates later in the year.
